Translation at a Wedding

Weddings are a special and unique event for two people making a life-long commitment to each other. 

Unconventional ideas could be what you are looking to incorporate.  There really are not many limits – so let your imagination create!

When my son and his fiancée were married in February – we wanted to translate the wedding – live and on video, simultaneously.  (It couldn’t be live-streamed due to poor internet connection from the beach at Mahia.)  Our aim was to quickly share the link with family in Argentina, who couldn’t attend, due to COVID. 

It was a genuine pleasure to work with Eze Cantina, who completed the translation. 

Our process was fairly simple.  No need to over-complicate things!

After I had finished writing the ceremony, I shared it with Eze.  He translated.  We met together and rehearsed, and then rehearsed again before the ceremony, on the wedding day.  Because Eze is a close friend of the bride, we were also able to work together to come up with unique ideas to include in the ceremony. 

At the ceremony, we each had a mic, and we knew when to stop for the other person to take the lead.
